Surf Camps

Hot Wax Surf Camp has taught hundreds of younger children to surf. In fact, they often take to surfing like fish to water. Many times they are able to catch waves the first day, sometimes doing better and learning faster that their older siblings. We spend a lot of time on one on one and pay close attention to them. We teach up from our youngest students to give them confidence while making them feel safe and secure. We will make their first ocean experience a good one. Fun is a priority and there is no extra charge to surf with the bottle nose dolphins which often appear.

Safety is of the utmost importance, so your child must be able to swim. Our professional instructors will instill confidence in your child. Our gradual progression goes only as far as your child's ability. All our instructors have Red Cross Life Saving & CPR First Aid and Ocean Safety Training. They have been living and surfing here their entire lives.

NOTE! Hot Wax Camp instructors have the right to change or alter activities based on the weather, availability of activities, or for safety reasons. Since tide and surf conditions are ever changing some activities may have to be rescheduled from time to time.

All equipment and accessories are available at Hot Wax Surf Shop (Emerald Isle, NC) with discount savings for campers. Surfboard rentals available after class for the rest of the day. As a participant you have priority on rentals the day of camp.
